What We've Achieved

  • Planted 54 new trees of various species on the Green

  • Watering new trees and maintaining older trees

  • Inoculations of the remaining elms and honey locusts—this year we paid for all nine to be treated to protect them against Dutch elm disease.

  • Planting spring bulbs on the Green

  • Purchased seven teak benches and twelve white planters

  • Maintaining the planters year-round

  • This winter we will put a small evergreen tree in each box and light the trees during the holiday season.

  • Sponsoring the annual Christmas tree lighting, which is funded by one of our founding trustees, Betsy Smith and by the Town of Sharon.
